The problem

An experiment is more than its final plot. Code, configuration, data inputs, execution environment, and intermediate decisions all shape what a result means.

Workflow architecture

ResearchOS explores agent-assisted computational experimentation: moving from a research question to implementation, validation, execution, and interpretation while retaining experiment provenance.

Validation and reproducibility

The work considers testing, recorded experiment context, and HPC integration. Agent-generated code still requires scientific validation: a passing software test is not a guarantee that an experiment answers the intended question.

Scope

ResearchOS is presented here as a research software project, not a fully released platform. A versioned architecture description, reproducible demonstration, and release status can be added when the corresponding artifacts are ready.
